In this game we fell behind early and we were up against it from the start with their forward scoring from close range. We never really like we were going to score with Shaun Goodwin having the best chance from a rebound after Warren had hit a post. The game marked the debut of Steve Nicol, and Hayes second goal arrived Southall had saved a shot, and he then tangled with Nicol, and their forward tapped home. The game also gave Harvey Cunningham his first run out of last season, as one of last years remaining players.

My MOM- errrrm...no-one was great but Nicol was not bad.
